It creeps up every day, talks you out of things. Talks you down. Makes you an disbeliever.

I was happy to read the other day that a successful entrepreneur with many businesses and published books, still doubts himself daily. It made me realise that perhaps this dull, questioning feeling is quite normal and maybe I needed to work out how to fight it.

So positive mantras and quotes are one way. I suggested to my 5 year old, who woke up on the wrong side of the bed yesterday, to write down 3 words on how he was going to feel and act that day. To counter his aggressive behaviour, we wrote ‘kind, gentle and helpful’. He responded well to the little reminders through the day and I realised by the end of it, that maybe I should practice what I preach.
